French army general meets Biya on Boko Haram

The French government has taken meticulous diplomatic steps to calm down the political tension between Yaounde and Paris, Cameroon Concord can now reveal.

Ever since some major Cameroon media houses launched scathing attacks on the French, accusing the government of President Hollande of backing what is now known as Boko Haram Camerounaise, Etoudi has received many high powered French delegations.

This time around it was General Francisco Soriano, the French army General in charge of all French military bases and installations in neighbouring Gabon who travelled to Cameroon to wash his hands off the Boko Haram accusation.

General Francisco Soriano was accompanied to the state house by French ambassador to Cameroon Mrs Christine Robichon.

President Biya and General Francisco discussed the security situation deep within the Sub Saharan African Region and Boko Haram incursion into Cameroon territory.

Both President Biya and General Francisco Soriano who are all working to protect French interest in Africa expressed the need for greater cooperation in combating the Boko Haram terrorism.
