G.C.E, Baccalaureat Examinations begin

The written session of the 2016 General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.) and Baccalaureat Exams have begun.

Statistics from the G.C.E and Baccalaureat Boards respectively, indicate that about 172,000 candidates are taking part in the G.C.E. while close to 91,000 are sitting for the Baccalaureat Exam.

This May 31, 2016, the Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Bibehe visited examination centres in the Centre Region to evaluate the first days of writing.

The Minister was impressed with the punctuality of candidates and the overall discipline enforced by invigilators and the law of forces and order.

The GCE Ordinary and Advanced Levels opened on Monday,May 30, 2016, with Economics and Geology meanwhile the Baccalaureat started this May 31, 2016, with Philosophy, Literature, General Knowledge, French Language and Physical Education.
