Gen. Sayero appointed commander of Chadian contingent

Chadian deputies on Friday unanimously agreed to send Chadian soldiers to Cameroon and Nigeria to combat the Islamist group Boko Haram.

The fighting against the Boko Haram Islamist sect will intensify in the coming days. Cameroon and Nigeria who were alone at the front a few months ago will be joined by Chadian troops after receiving in audience last Wednesday Cameroonian Defense Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o.

The head of the Chadian State has carried out the appointment of the Commander of the Chadian contingent in the multinational joint force. Brigadier-General Yaya Sayero Bacalso, ID 92860908 of the armed forces and security, will thus lead the Chadian contingent in Cameroon for the fight against Boko Haram.

The basis of the plenary on Friday in N'Djamena with Idriss Deby was to send a message to the members to solicit their backing in the fight against Boko Haram. "I want to inform the National Assembly of our concerted and combined actions that will be taken in the coming days by the members of LCBC (Commission du Bassin, Lake Chad, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon), to reconquer Baga, main base of the multinational force.

The release of this locality which is the epicenter of our trade is essential for the revival of the traffic and the movement of goods and people safely according to the statement," Idriss Deby wrote.
