General Mambou Deffo is dead

The inspector general at the national gendarmerie died yesterday in France.

This was revealed by a release from the Minister delegate at the Presidency of the Republic responsible for Defense. Major-general Roland Mambou Deffo died yesterday in France from disease at the American Hospital in Neuilly.

The officer served as inspector general at the National Gendarmerie.

Major-general Roland Mambou Deffo was spotted in the fight against organized crime. He then served as Director central coordination with the Secretary of State at the Minister delegate at the Presidency, in charge of the National Gendarmerie.

This police officer had his primary education in Bafoussam. He then enrolled in the Lycée general Leclerc Yaoundé between 1951 and 1958. After initial training at the military school of Strasbourg in France, he continued his training in many other military institutions.

After graduating from the prestigious school of officers of gendarmerie of Melun, France, Roland Mambou Deffo was also holder of the diploma of staff at the patented l'Ecole de guerre in Paris. He was promoted to the rank of brigadier general February 5, 1993. September 25, 2001, he was elevated to the rank of general of division.

February 26, 1993, he was appointed head of the coordination with the SED responsible for the national gendarmerie, a function that he occupied until March 2011 when he was appointed inspector general at the national gendarmerie.
