Germany to deepen its cooperation with Cameroon

With nearly 43 billion invested in 2013, the country of Angela Merkel intends further to support the development of Cameroon.

The Federal Republic of Germany intends to further densify its cooperation with Cameroon in various fields in the coming years. This is the main message issued Thursday in the salons of the Hilton hotel in Yaoundé by the Ambassador, Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein.

The head of the German diplomatic mission said that in 2013, the Germany-Cameroon cooperation has been fruitful in several areas.

By mobilising nearly 43 billion f, Germany joined Cameroon in its process of decentralization, modernization of public finance, rural development and several other projects. He did not fail to acknowledge the cultural and academic cooperation between the two countries.

According to Klaus-Ludwig Keferstein, Cameroon has the largest number of African students in Germany. In the presence of many members of the Government, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Yaoundé and several other personalities, the German diplomat expressed the wish for cooperation to further diversify between the two States, while welcoming the efforts made by his country in favor of maintaining peace in the sub-region.
