Govt prescribes quick action to restore collapsed TV Tower

Following the collapse last Friday of the Tower in the diffusion centre of Logbessou, the Prime Minister, head of Government, immediately dispatched the Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary, in Douala.

On Saturday, in the services of the Governor, Mincom rolled out its mission through a working session. "The Prime Minister instructed me to mobilize national expertise to find, as soon as possible, the appropriate solution to restore the CRTV signal to the benefit of the populations in these areas", he said.

In the presence of the Governor of the region, Joseph Beti Assomo, Executive Director of CRTV, Amadou Vamoulke, the Minister of communications expressed the condolences from the Government officials of the African company of achievement in telecommunications (Cartel) and the whole of the populations of the Littoral region. To allow the city to be connected across the CRTV network, the Mincom asked the technical experts of Mincom, CRTV, Camtel, MTN and Orange to put all solutions on the table.

The incident at the diffusion centre at Logbessou is rather serious. According to explanations from the Director of broadcasting, communications, infrastructure and other technical equipment at CRTV, Boniface Takou, the centre affected, Friday, is part of the pilot centres of CRTV with Mbankolo and Garoua.
