An 18-year-old, Nazi Agbor Taku, was, on March 31, 2016, arrested along the Kumba-Mamfe road with an automatic pistol, reportedly on mission to kill police officers in Mamfe.

Agbor was fished out of a taxi by a control team of police and gendarme officers as he and two others had hired the vehicle to escape security checks.

According to the Commissioner of the Kumba Central Police Station, Wilson Njume Njikang, at the time of the arrest, the suspect had nine bullets loaded in the gun. The 10th bullet had already been used but the suspect will not open up to police interrogation.

The Commissioner explained that Agbor, who had escaped from detention in Mamfe on the night of March 10 breaking 11 this year, confessed that he was going back to Mamfe on a revenge mission.
At the time of his escape from detention, the suspect the police boss told the press, stole the pistol and has since then been declared wanted.

Njume said, as per police findings, the suspect had spent some time in Buea where he succeeded in 'recruiting' other boys into his gang.
His Mamfe expedition was said to be targeted at revenging on the officers that have severally foiled his stealing escapades.

While the police fished out Agbor, two of his accomplices are said to have escaped. The suspect, the police told reporters, was due to be ferried to Buea on April 1 to face trial.

Agbor was born on April 3, 1998, in Mamfe to James Ashu Agbor and Agnes Agbor.

Agbor's arrest marks the second high profile exploit by the Kumba police after a similar one on a gang of three youngsters in Kumba.

Just like the gang of three specialised in break-ins who had operated in many towns and villages across the Southwest Region, Agbor too told the police his exploits touched on many locations across the Region.
