Hilaire Mbakop wins award in Germany

The Cameroonian writer Hilaire Mbakop was awarded in the category "authors" of the Adler Entrepreneurship Award 2014.

He received his prize 6th December at the Steigenberger Hotel Metropolitan in Francfort-sur-le-Main in Germany. This is the first distinction he has received since he started writing in 2007.

Through the Adler Entrepreneurship Award, the Foundation of the African youth based in Bonn, Germany annually awarded people or African enterprises from the Mainland or the diaspora giving good example. He is the only award winning Cameroonian in 2014.

Hilaire Mbakop, born February 28, 1973 in Bangangté, writes in french and German. The writer holds a PhD in the University Johann Wolfgang Goethe in Francfort-sur-le-Main.

His thesis was on the pamphlets of André Gide and Heinrich Mann. "Influenced by these authors and the values of Christianity - Catholic school, doctoral Fellowship from the Catholic University office attendance-, he has created a few literary works that denounce injustice: Mambés Heimat (novel, 2007) which denounces the gap between the rich and the poor in Cameroon, La mort d’un handicapé (novel«2010) lack of understanding of a company towards the difficulties of people with disabilities, Les étrangers noirs africains (novel, 2011) discrimination of nationals of black Africa in Germany ",noted the brief biography of the author who has been recently awarded in Germany.
