IFLA sensitizes people to respect the environment

The international Forum for A Capella du bois (IFLA) recently closed its doors in Yaoundé.

This platform for expression and analysis of artistic ecological biodiversity, opened July 20.

The aim of this forum was to sensitise the population towards the respect for the environment.

For 10 days, specialists in the protection of nature and biodiversity, and sculptors discussed topics such as the exploitation of forests.

They focused on the art of recovery, experienced during an exhibition of 40 sculptures at Hotel de Ville in Yaounde.

A conference held under the theme: "Artistic creation for ecology and biodiversity" was among the major points of the forum.

At the end of the forum, the Organizing Committee had for objectives the development of a plea for a civic ecology and the building of 1000 to 1500 people on good relationship between art and environment.
