Idriss Déby congratulates CMR defence army

In a video broadcast the Chadian president praises the effectiveness of the defense forces of Paul Biya facing attacks from the Islamist sect. Idriss Deby Itno has decided to take action on the activities of the terrorist group Boko Haram in Cameroon.

With numerous attacks and other heinous crimes committed by men without faith or law, coming from the neighboring Nigeria, the Chadian Head of State appreciated the replica of the monitoring forces and of Cameroonian defense faced with incursions from the insane sect.

The Cameroonian army is doing an excellent job. The Cameroonian army today has even secure its border. Boko Haram is weakened by the Cameroonian army. Unfortunately on the other side of the border there is no responding.

We also have our units which are on the border with Nigeria. It is clear, therefore, that for the president of Chad, the elements of the terrorist group are not interested in his country, unlike in Cameroon, which has for months suffered attacks.

We understand that among the African heads of State present at the "Paris summit for the security in Nigeria" and having adopted, in May, a plan for regional action against the Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram, Paul Biya had was firm enough.

As to the abilities of the defense forces at the front against the elements of the terrorist group, the Minister of External Relations in Cameroon, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, reassured: "Cameroon has an army whose effectiveness is proven. We have elite troops whose level is internationally recognized."

The regionalization, or even the internationalization of the threat posed by this terrorist group, called from our point of view an involvement more decisively by the international community in this struggle, both to the military plan than humanitarian", government spokesman Issa Tchiroma stated.

Depending on the final conclusions of the mini-summit in Paris, the various heads of State present decided immediate to 5 measures: to conduct coordinated patrols, put in place a system of sharing of intelligence, put in place mechanisms for exchanges of information on the trafficking of weapons and strengthen the measures for securing stocks of armies, put in place mechanisms for monitoring borders and create an intelligence fusion cell.
