Job seekers jostle at doors of Public Services

Since the launch of the recruitment of 3,500 people, the administrative services of the central region are choked with candidates.

Over the days, candidates continue to invade administrative services in Yaoundé, thanks to the competition launched in October by the Ministry of public service and administrative reform for the recruitment of 3,500 people in all sectors.

A few weeks to the deadline for filing of records, they jostle every day at the doors of the service of the Governor of the central region, more precisely at the mail office where they deposit their certificates of presentation of the originals of diplomas.

Among them, Elena Jodie, candidate for the post of Assistant Controller of customs, came to ensure the availability of the file lodged last Monday. "It is not ready, I was asked to return tomorrow ", he lamented.

Just beside him, Marie barbarian Nanga, student at the University of Yaoundé I and Menon Wouassiwou, student at the same University, applicants to the sector of Assistant Controller of customs received their presentation of the original of the PEBC certificates, signed by the prefect of Mfoundi, Jean Claude Tsila.

It is the same situation in the sub-prefectures, town halls, courts (Ekounou and administrative center) and Yaoundé hospitals, where young people have been visiting for days.

In these structures, they deposit or withdraw respectively certified copies of the required diploma, those of birth and the medical certificates issued by a competent physician.

This rush by candidates to administrative services is attributable to the permanent concern to not only find a job, but also to render service in the public sector.
