The remains of Joseph Ndi Samba Mayor of Nkolmetet and member of the CPDM central committee who died last May 13, 2016, has been laid to rest in Ayene village of the Nyong and Nso’o Division of the Centre Region.
His mortal remains which were removed from the Yaounde General Hospital Mortuary on Friday July 1, 2016, was conveyed to the Eglise Presbyterienne du Cameroun at the Nyongoho Parish in Yaounde.
It was thereafter taken to the Institute Superieur Ndi Samba at the Odza neighbourhood for Academic tributes.
On Saturday July 3,2016, the remains were taken to his village for burial.
Thousands of persons accompanied the funeral cortege including President Paul Biya’s personal representative Mr. Andre Mama Fouda.
The Head of State’s message of condolence to the bereaved family was delivered, accompanied by a medal award of grand officer of valour to the deceased administered by the Minister Andre Mama Fouda.
The casket of the man who was like a tree on which the community leaned was finally laid to rest at 3 pm.
