Jules Nyongha, candidate for Fecafoot elections

The former coach of the Indomitable Lions, Jules Nyongha has declared his intention to run for the Fecafoot presidency. He made his intentions known in a press conference at the ‘Place St Josué’ in Yaounde yesterday, November 13, 2014.

Nyongha said he is building his campaign on the basis of a rupture with the amateurism of the past, promising to lay the ground work for football in Cameroon to recover its glory of the past.

If elected, Nyongha said he will construct stadia across the country and re-organise the organizational chart of the federation to make it more fluid. He urged the electorate to vote in the interest of the development of football in Cameroon and not for their stomachs.

As coach, he said he wasn’t given the means to function fully and that is the reason why he is seeking the highest office so as to be able to effect real change in the Fecafoot house.

He also promised to build five zonal technical centres and work for the construction of 58 stadiums across the country, to re-organise feminine and youth football as well as all the other categories of football including beach soccer and futsal.

Nyongha’s candidacy comes after that of Penne Robert, Joseph Antoine Bell, Atah Robert, Eboa Elame and Luc Assamba. Meanwhile the Normalisation Committee of Fecafoot has declared that registration forms for candidates vying for the post of national president are available at the seat of the federation in Tsinga-Yaounde and the last date for the reception of candidacies will be on Monday, November 17th.
