Kidnappers of the 8 Cmr'ians at Garoua-Boulaï give ultimatum

The rebels of the Democratic Front for the Central African people (FDPC) gave three days to the Cameroonian authorities to release their leader, Abdoulaye Miskine, who is being held for over a year in Yaounde. This was a condition given to release eight Cameroonians abducted near Garoua-Boulaï, in the eastern region on September 20.

"These thugs have given us an ultimatum of 72 hours. In their message, they are claiming the release of their leader, Abdoulaye Miskine", said the sub-prefect of Garoua-Boulaï, Lawrence Diyem Jam.

"They asked me to tell the Mayor, sub-prefect, and even the president Paul Biya, that they want their leader, Abdoulaye Miskine, who was detained in Yaoundé released. They indicated that if their leader is not released, they will attack Cameroon and take Garoua-Boulaï”, explained the woman who was released.

"The State cannot submit to people without faith or law and the thugs should not dictate to us their will", reassures the sub-prefect of Garoua-Boulaï.
