The newly appointed Director of the Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College, HTTTC, Kumba, Prof. Michael Agbor Ntui and the Director of Finance in the University of Buea, were commissioned on September 17, 2015 in Buea. They were installed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Dr. Nalova Lyonga.

The two Directors were challenged to put their experience to the service of humanity by conducting themselves as role models. The challenge was made by the Registrar of the University of Buea, Prof. Roland Ndip, during their installation in the Dorothy Njeuma Limunga Amphitheatre of the University of Buea.

Citing Bernard Montgomery’s definition of leadership which states, “The capacity and will to rally men and women to a common purpose and the character which instills confidence,” the Registrar reminded the new Directors that the goals they set today – which should be in line with the mission and vision of the university – would be the standards for tomorrow. He added that to become great leaders, they must possess character, charisma and be committed, among others.

Prof. Michael Agbor Ntui took over from Prof. Joyce Endeley who was called to other duties. He was born in Mukonje, Kumba III Sub-division of Meme Division and is holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education (Economics) from the University of Georgia, USA; two Master’s degrees in Public Administration (Gender Administration and Management) from Georgia, USA and Education (Education Administration) from Atlanta University, USA.

His PhD in Education Administration, Planning and Policy from the University of Clark, Atlanta, was obtained in 1994. He is an Associate Professor. Prior to his appointment as Director of HTTTC Kumba, Prof. Agbor Ntui was the Deputy Director of the same institution. He is married and a father of three.
