Meeting in the Tombel Council Hall, Tombel Subdivision, Kupe-Muanenguba Division, South West Region, on the occasion of the Divisional Seminar for CPDM Mayors and other elected party officials at the behest of the National Chairman, President of the Republic, H.E. Paul BIYA, and under the supervisory authority of the Secretary-General of the CPDM, Vice Prime Minister, Jean NKUETE, we:

Members and former members of government,

Senator, Alternate Senator, Members of the House of Assembly and Alternate members,

Members of the CPDM Political Bureau and Central Committee, Mayors of Bangem, Nguti and Tombel,

CPDM, WCPDM and YCPDM Section Presidents and Executive Members of Kupe-Muanenguba I, II and III,

Presidents of the Kupe-Muanenguba Chiefs Conference and the Bangem, Nguti and Tombel Sub-divisional Chiefs Conferences,

Municipal Councillors of Bangem, Nguti and Tombel,

Internal and External Elite of Kupe-Muanenguba Division,

CPDM Militants and Supporters from the three Sections of Kupe-Muanenguba,

All Kupe-Muanenguba Sons and Daughters of goodwill resident in the Division and beyond,

- Mindful of the imperative need for balanced development in a Cameroon that is emergence bound, and which has embarked on an irreversible decentralisation process that will ultimately further empower the local and regional authorities, i.e. Councils and Regions,

- Cognisant of the fact that this has always been a top priority in President Paul Biya’s agenda wherein, he undertook, before the nation, to transform Cameroon into a vast project site with the implementation of integrated projects during his current seven-year tenure,

- Confident that Kupe-Muanenguba, which has kept the faith and always been loyal both to the CPDM and State Institutions will not miss that development train and be left on the sidelines,

- Aware of the need in Kupe-Muanenguba, the South West Region and Cameroon at large for a strong family spirit, selfless and dynamic, that must inhabit every true son and daughter of our dear fatherland in peace and harmony,

- Further aware of the fact that peace and harmony are today threatened, especially at our borders by rebels and other terrorist groups operating from some neighbouring countries,

- Considering that such untoward actions, apart from undermining the peace and stability so cherished by Cameroonians, also greatly compromise our emergence agenda,

- Acknowledging that our entire vision of emergence by 2035 hinges on meaningful development, which can only be possible where the rule of law prevails and can never thrive in chaos,

- Desirous of working mainly for the common good, our collective interests, the welfare of our people and nation,

Hereby pledge:

- Our total and unconditional support to the National Chairman of the CPDM and President of the Republic, H.E. Paul BIYA, and all the institutions he embodies.

- To stand by him in all his struggles, be they social, economic or political and which seek to foster the welfare of Cameroonians by creating enabling conditions for personal and collective development and fulfilment.

- To give him full backing, as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, and encourage the said Armed Forces in their endeavour to defend the fatherland, a duty they are discharging with resounding success consequent on the President’s declaration of war on Boko Haram.

- To fully cooperate with the security forces and administrative authorities by denouncing all suspicious moves and persons, and arresting same, if possible, where and when need arises.
