Members of the National Consultative Commission on Wednesrday April 3, in Yaounde began examining and giving their views on six text projects in matters of trade unions, labour, employment and hired-hand. While opening the 15th session of the commission in the presence of the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Grégoire Owona called on the commission members who are representatives of the Supreme Court, the National Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, Public Administrations and Social Partners to effectively use their competence to examine with seriousness, these text projects which will ameliorate the professional milieu in the country.
For three days, the experts will examine four text projects presented by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and two presented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Amongst the text projects under examination are the draft law project on professional trade unions in Cameroon, the project of the decision fixing modalities for election and conditions exercising the functions of staff representatives, the project concerning the creation, organisation and functioning of the National Employment Council as well as the Inter-ministerial Technical Committee for the follow-up of Employment and the Unique Window for Employment.
