Launch Pad From Banks of Nyong

CPDM's parliamentary and local council campaigns for Nyong and Mfoumou Division were launched on September 15, 2013.

In the blazing mid afternoon sun on the banks of River Nyong on the border between Centre and East Regions, a motley crowd of traditional dance groups, local artistes and an orchestra, all competed for attention yesterday, September 15, 2013 in Ayos, Nyong and Mfoumou Division in the Centre Region.

As the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement, CPDM party launched its divisional campaigns for the September 30, 2013 parliamentary and local council elections in the area, officials said it is a race for consolidation. CPDM Chargé de mission for the division and veteran communications expert, Siméon Ava, described the elections as "CPDM versus CPDM!" The party currently holds the two parliamentary seats and controls all the five local councils of Akonolinga, Ayos, Endom, Mengang and Kobdombo. Moreover, no other party is standing in the division.

For the thousands who turned out yesterday, it was a matter of giving a push to incumbent MP, Nkodo Dang Roger and newcomer, Mbala Ngobo epse Mfoula, their alternates and various councillorship candidates to keep the flag of CPDM flying higher in the area.
