The Government Delegate to the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga, has announced that the third edition of the Limbe Festival of Arts and Culture, FESTAC, will start on Saturday, April 2, 2016, and run up to Saturday, April 9, 2016.

Meanwhile, the 2016 edition of the Miss Limbe FESTAC pageant will take place on March 27, 2016.

Motanga made the announcement at a press conference on Monday, March 7, 2016, to let the public know about what this year’s FESTAC stands to offer.

The Government Delegate said given that Limbe will host the November 19 to December 3, 2016, African Women Cup of Nations, the effervescence of this year’s FESTAC should be made to linger on right to the games.

Thus, Motanga emphasized that the FESTAC cultural jamboree is being packaged to leave the guests itchy and “longing to be back to Limbe for the November games.”
According to Motanga, the FESTAC programme will feature cultural music, dances and choral displays by Cameroonians from all the ten Regions who are resident in Limbe.

Besides, the Nigerian, Ghanaian and Beninoise communities resident in Limbe would also showcase the richness of their culture to the public like the rest at the FESYAC village.

Other activities such as traditional wrestling, tug of war, canoe racing, boat tour, the Idenau Limbe Njalla Quan Marathon and daily musical concerts will make up the rich package being put up by the Limbe City Council.
