Littoral Governor chairs 43rd National Day preparatory meeting

The first preparatory meeting for the 43rd National Day celebration in the Littoral Region was held yesterday, April 15, 2015, under the chairmanship of Governor Joseph Beti Assomo during which he gave specific instructions to each of the 10 committees in order to ensure hitch-free celebrations.

Among the committees that met was the Communication Committee headed by the Regional Delegate of Communication.

During the meeting, the Governor reiterated that political parties that wish to take part in the 20th May march past must participate in a general rehearsal that will take place on May 18, 2015.

He mentioned that if the military, who are professionals in march past rehearse for three days, so a single day of rehearsals should not be a problem to political parties.

The Regional Delegate for Youth and Civic Education, Logmo I de Semnjock Leonard, warned that participating in general rehearsals was a prerequisite for taking part in the National Day march past.

To him, rehearsals will ensure a better march past. Three other preparatory meetings will take place on April 30, May 13 and May 16, 2015.
