MINATD Staff Train on Administrative Procedures

Over 120 staff recently posted to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation, MINATD, are undergoing training in Douala. The young workers are part of the 25,000 people recently recruited into the Public Service who were posted to Littoral Region.

In an opening address, Governor Joseph Beti Assomo said the seminar is aimed at training the workers on Cameroon's administrative procedures. He urged the recruits to pay particular attention during the lessons and be active. He insisted on excellent conduct throughout the training. The Governor added that the training was also aimed at producing efficient administrative staff. He further called on them to make useful contributions and suggestions to the ministry.

The Inspector of MINATD, Bekono Mana Claude, who is one of the facilitators, said the new staff will be drilled on how to write administrative letters. "They will also be trained on distinguishing between different actions in the Public Service vis-à-vis the private sector," he added.
