MINDCAF steps up state protection legacy

Minister Jacqueline Koung à Bessike presented a list of activities planned for 2015 before the Committee on Tuesday.

In her presentation, she stated that there are many challenges confronting the Department of Cadastre and land Affairs (Mindcaf). She however expressed her willingness to address these challenges in order to find lasting solutions. After reading the guidelines for the implementation of Mindcaf budget for 2014, she presented the projects that her department intends to embark on in 2015.

The four major programs listed include: modernization of cadastre, the protection and development of the legacy of the State, the constitution of land reserves and public estates, governance and the institutional support of the estate subsector, cadastre and business property.

The Mindcaf account has allocated 300 million for the establishment of basic technical infrastructure, 381 million for the technical reconstruction of the cadastre. The support project for the modernization of cadastre and the business climate will get 175 million F.

The protection of the heritage of the State in the Department will benefit from an allocation of 8,098 million f, 452 million will be allocated to the rehabilitation of the central administrative garage, F 578 million for the rehabilitation of administrative units and public buildings.

An amount of 100 million F will also be set aside for the maintenance of the Ministerial building N°1, while 70 million will be set aside for auditing public buildings in Douala and 100 million to start the audit and the State of the premises of diplomatic missions of Cameroon abroad.

In addition, an allocation of 3,886 billion for investment in payment funding has been arranged for an efficient response to the needs of reserves and for public estates.
