MP donates money to support water project

The Member of Parliament, MP, for Meme West Constituency, Hon. Martin Atinda, has donated to the Maromba 1 community grant to support water project in the community.

Hon. Atinda Martin also handed over scholarships to some 25 meritorious students of Union Comprehensive College Kwa-kwa.

The donation exercise which took place in the palace of Chief Mbongo John Musima of Maromba 1, on Saturday May 9, 2015 also saw the MP awarding scholarship to some 25 students of Union Comprehensive College, Kwa-Kwa in Mbonge Sub Division and assistance to some disable students to pay their fees in the same school.

Handing over the Micro-grants and the scholarships, Hon. Atinda said as a Parliamentarian, it is his duty to assist the people of his constituency by making sure they have good potable drinking water, electricity and good health.

Adding that he is equally coming back to extend his appreciation to them for voting him into Parliament.

He called on them to rally behind the Head of State, President Paul Biya, by giving him support, as he continue to fight against the Islamic sect, Boko Haram.

Honourable Atinda, reminded the people of Maromba I that the government of President Biya, is development oriented, reason why the parliamentary micro-grants are always allocated to assist communities in their social amenities.
