MP's son arrested for allegedly aiding Boko Haram

It has been alleged that the son of the Honourable Abba Malla, Abdoulaye could be aiding members of the Boko Haram sect particularly with the registration of stolen vehicle. Considered a suspect, he has been arrested by elements of the rapid Intervention battalion (BIR).

The son of the Honourable Abba Malla, Member of Parliament for Mayo Sava was arrested Friday with his friend Abba Ndjidda. The two accomplices were placed under arrest by an armored force of the rapid Intervention battalion (BIR) at garage Gaou de Mora before they were transferred to Maroua for investigations.

According to sources, the son of the negotiator for the hostages of Boko Haram and his friend Abba Ndjidda have been accused of helping veterans of the sect to change registration numbers of vehicles that Boko Haram steals during their various atrocities on the Cameroonian and Nigerian territories.

"The arrest of these two young people is not much surprising for the people at Mora, because they are unemployed but lead a princely life," noted a colleague who follows the file closely.

Another reliable source indicated that vehicles seized from the Chinese at Waza were identified in Mali and brought back to Cameroon by a mission of the Ministry of defence.

For some time now, several other sources are trying to create a rapprochement between the deputies of Mora and the Boko Haram Islamist.
