Man rescued from Douala mob

A young man was rescued from the cold hands of death in the Akwa neighbourhood last Friday, April 25, afternoon.

According to the taxi driver who led the suspect to the Salle de Fêtes Gendarmerie Post, the young man was seated with two other passengers on the back row. He pretended to have lost some money and began searching the car.

Unfortunately for him through the rear view mirror, the driver saw him retrieving money from the nearby passenger’s pockets. But when he was asked to return the stolen FCFA 2000 note, his denial attracted passersby who searched him.

Upon seeing the money, they almost lynched the young man but for the timely intervention of some benevolent persons.
