Man's Decomposed Remains Found in Bamenda

A corpse in an advanced state of decomposition has been discovered at the banks of River Mezam. The corpse that was found on December 4, 2013 in the Ndaaka locality around where the river crosses the border between Bali and Mankon is said to be that of 60 year-old Godlove Ndeh Tiba who disappeared from his family's compound on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

Sources say the Tiba family of Chomba had alerted the police on the disappearance of Godlove Ndeh Tiba, aged 60, from their compound on October 5th. The relatives are said to have searched for the man for the past two months to no avail. The family had given up hope until Wednesday, December 4, when they got news from a local radio station that the remains of a man in an advanced state of decomposition had been found in Ndaaka.

Although most of the corpse was skeletal, the shape the skull was enough to convince his relatives that it was that of Godlove Tiba. The family contacted the administration which later on sent a medical team to the scene. After legal and medical formalities, the skeleton was buried under the supervision of the Commissioner in charge of Public Security in Bali, Taku Napoleon Wembu. Traditional rites were later performed to cleanse the family.
