Maurice Kamto apologises to France, condemns action of his deputy

The national president of the Movement for the Revival of Cameroon (MRC) issued a communiqué to appreciate and encourage the efforts made by France in the fight against Boko Haram in Cameroon.

Maurice Kamto condemned the attitude of one its Members, Lazare Soup on Friday at the National Assembly. During the oral questioning posed to the members of the Government, the MRC parliamentarian openly accused France of being behind unrest in Central African Republic. These accusations forced present representatives of the French Embassy to leave the room in protest.

To repair the "damage" caused by its Member, Maurice Kamto issued a press release which was sent to the Embassy of France in Yaoundé. In the same release, Professor Kamto pays tribute to the valiant Cameroonian soldiers who are at the front in the far North of the country.
