Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui Wednesday had a talk with his Cameroonian counterpart Lejeune Mbella Mbella who is on a visit in Tunisia to attend the 10th High Joint Committee meeting.

Jhinaoui said the meeting will offer the opportunity to assess relations of co-operation and identify new avenues to arrive at a win-win partnership.

Security challenges in connection to war on terrorism were also addressed, he indicated.

The talk focused on the “tireless” efforts expended by Tunisia to push for dialogue and consensus in a bid to restore stability to Libya, Jhinaoui highlighted.

“Tunisia is determined to work in concert with other African countries to introduce fresh dynamics of coordination, co-operation and solidarity so as to meet the aspirations of our peoples to dignity and prosperity,” he underlined.

The two ministers said the present session will help bolster the “privileged” relations of co-operation notably in training, communication, health, higher education, tourism and agriculture.

There is need to coordinate efforts and establish co-operation between the two countries’ police and army in intelligence and training, they pointed out.

Co-operation agreements are set to be inked Thursday as part of this 10th High Joint Committee meeting.
