Mbeng Celine Nchung is dead

The former Deputy General Manager of the Yaounde Conference Centre Tabe née Mbeng Celine Nchong reportedly died at the National Social Insurance Hospital in Yaounde on Saturday April 11, 2015 after a brief illness.

News about her death hit the Cameroon Tribune newsroom on April 12, 2015.

At her residence in the Anguissa neighbourhood, sadness engulfed relatives, friends and loved ones. Family members gave no information pertaining to her death.

A source close to the family however, said Celine Mbeng had just returned from a cultural week in Mamfe when she had a malaise and was rushed to hospital where she died. Her body is presently in the mortuary of the National Social Insurance Fund Hospital in Yaounde.

The 40-year-old journalist was a product of the 27th batch of the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC) Yaounde, graduating in 1997. Celine Mbeng Nchong was a senior staff in the Ministry of Communication where she occupied several posts in several departments before being appointed Inspector Number Two in the same ministry. She was later appointed Deputy General Manager Director of the Yaounde Conference Centre.
