Medics take first national examination

Formerly, candidates underwent the tests in their various training facilities, but now all future doctors will be assessed at the national level.

The test of internal medicine, Pediatrics and public health had been launched. From 12 to 13 September 2014, with more than 2,000 people, to take the written phase of the examination after training.

This is an order from the Minister of higher education, Jacques Fame Ndongo, who opened for the first time, for the 2014/2015 academic year, "a national review of clinical and therapeutic synthesis validating the first six (6) years. The 3 exam centres involved are Yaoundé, Douala and Buea.

Following the closure of about 20 private medics institutes July 30, 2013, the medicine sector training institutions wants to ensure improved standards in the field.

This test is aimed at giving the same chances to all the candidates, regardless of their places of training.

The examination which took place in two stages, written and practical, will see its final from 13th - 23rd October, 2014.
