Min of higher edu to improve university system

The Ministry of higher education for some days now have been communicating the state of higher education in Cameroon, in a document regularly advertised in the public press titled: "Cap on knowledge of the economy. Produce a competent and competitive human capital for the emergence of Cameroon by the year 2035.

'New University' presented by the Ministry of higher education gives among other objectives: to improve the functioning of the LMD system by the fitness training and employment; anchoring of the University to the needs of society; and make the student a creator of wealth (establishment of incubators in institutions).

He identified eight state universities, with doctoral schools; 06 specialized universities; 163 private higher education institutes.

In these universities, there are 5,020 lecturers, covering the needs of 351,020 students, which will require 3,593 support staff.
