Engineers and managers of the Ministry of Water and Energy (Minee) are at a renewable energy seminar. The session which was held to train staff on the development of renewable energy, began on Monday in Yaounde.
The subject of the seminar focused on strengthening the capabilities of engineers and executives of Central and decentralized services of the Ministry of water and energy (Minee). The training which opened on Monday in Yaounde, was not only based on renewable energy, but also other forms of energy.
The main objective of the seminar is to equip staff of the Department with knowledge in valorization of biomass, as well as on the solar photovoltaic.
For the Director of renewable energy and control energy at Minee, Richard Balla, it is to enable the participants; "have the tools that will enable them to meet the energy needs of the country." The goal is to promote the mastery of techniques related to renewable energy and the control of energy to find alternatives to traditional energy sources.
This will be an opportunity for the participants to design, monitor and evaluate the projects of energy, as well as electrification projects from solar photovoltaic systems.
At the end of the training, participants should be able to perceive the challenges of improving the quality and the quantity of renewable energy supply and energy management in Cameroon, as well as to identify forces of this new economic source.
The seminar organized in partnership with the firm of studies 'Africa new energies' ends January 24.
