Noel Alain Olivier Mekulu Mvodo Akame, Director of the Social Insurance Fund, CNPS during an event organized by the institution on Thursday presented the new face of the ex-notorious building, the Ministerial building N°1 to the public.
Large terraces at the entrance, water jets and a pretty architecture, displaying on its wall a mosaic with scenes of everyday life indicates that one is about to enter a modern framework.
Inside, the marble, the lights, aluminum ceiling, air conditioning, a nice and comfortable world confirm that a titanic work has just been completed and that the CNPS has definitely brought the building from death to life.
"This is not a groundbreaking ceremony, it is just a documentary projection on the completion of the building work, the ceremony will come soon" said the DG.
It is to be recalled that the building popularly referred to as ‘immeuble de la mort’ was a hotbed of insecurity in the heart of the capital. A building abandoned for 25 years, vandalized, taken hostage by bandits and where reptiles had ended up making their nests.
