The Ministry of Tourism has launched the first edition of its leisure club this Saturday 25th April 2015.
Officials of the Ministry say the club is to promote leisure and develop tourism in Cameroon.
As if to say ‘charity begins at home,’ workers of the Ministry of Tourism took part in the first edition of the activity.
The Director in charge of Leisure Development, Elise Bomba Atangana emphasised on the raison d`etre of such activities.
She explained that the programme seeks to improve welfare and conviviality amongst workers of the same enterprise.
Elise Bomba Atangana indicated that the Ministry of Tourism has drawn up plans for leisure activities within companies.
Apart from improving on just leisure, the Ministry of Tourism, through these activities intends to promote a healthy social climate amongst workers and reduce stress in the work milieu.
The first edition of the leisure club featured a number of activities including ball games like table tennis; board games like ludo, draft and scrabble; video games and fitness exercises.
