In view of becoming an emerging country by 2035, emphasis should be placed on anything that passes through industrialization based on the processing of raw materials, like some other countries in the third world.
Experts are trying to educate the authorities concerned on good practices in this field.
In a logic of development of a Master Plan for industrialization (Pdi) Cameroon, the Ministry of industry and technological development (Minmidt) Mines held a workshop for good practices towards the development plan on Wednesday.
Chaired by Edouard Ebah Abada, Secretary general of Minmidt, the event was placed on the theme: "Experiences and international best practices for the development of the Pdi.
While opening the work, Edouard Ebah Abada said that "it comes to present to the authorities and organizers the most appropriate approach at the international level in the development of master industrialization plans, PDI.
While in Cameroon, the economic environment is gloomy, the Minmidt believes that it is all promising. "Methodologies used for the Cameroonian Pdi must involve the local specificities of the international environment," the Secretary general of the Minmidt suggested.
Accordingly, he instructed the participants and experts from international Basic to help the desk responsible for the development of the PDI to focus their exchanges on best methodologies regarding the development of a respectful PDI of international standards and the specificities of the Cameroonian context.
Eventually, the methodology adopted aimed at making available a PDI that promotes a rapid emergence of the country.
