Minsep Receives Tunisian Ambassador

Adoum Garoua and Abderrazak Landoulsi explored avenues for bilateral cooperation.

The Tunisian Ambassador to Cameroon, Abderrazak Landoulsi, June 19, 2012 paid a courtesy and working visit to the Minister of Sports and Physical Education. Adoum Garoua and his guest discussed avenues for bilateral cooperation between Tunisia and Cameroon in the domain of sports. The Tunisian diplomat disclosed after the meeting with the minister that in the days ahead, concrete proposals will be made on how to revitalise the historic relationship between the two countries, stating that Tunisia is open to all proposals to boost relations especially in the domain of creating football academies in which Tunisia has a lot of experience.

Abderrazak disclosed that he knew Cameroon since 1982 when he was a student at the International Relations Institute of Cameroon, IRIC, and has been in Cameroon since 4th September 2010. He however, presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, Paul Biya on January 3rd, 2012. Conversely, he revealed that the Minister of Sports and Physical Education also knows Tunisia and its areas of competence, having visited the country recently on the occasion of the Libya-Cameroon encounter which took place in Sfax-Tunisia.
