The Ministry of Transport has since Monday 29th September, embarked on a campaign to evaluate the functioning of driving schools across the national territory.
The Director of Road Transport, Derphine Eliane Marie Nanga states that the operation, apart from sizing up the management of these schools, also aims at identifying clandestine driving schools.
Derphine Eliane says the main purpose is to get the Ministry of Transport ensure that Cameroonians follow the right procedure in obtaining a driving licence.
This concern was made after persistent complaints that most of the trainers are not professionals.
To proceed, the Ministry of Transport began with collecting information on the existing driving schools, their owners and facilitators, programmes within the driving schools as well as teaching materials used.
