Missing Girl Discovered in Douala Mortuary

Kenneth Jeane, a 37-year old girl disappeared from their Bepanda residence on July 2nd only to be discovered in the Laquintinie mortuary one week later. According to family members who are still in shock, the searched for Jeane in all police stations, hospitals and some morgues in the zone was fruitless.

The deceased younger brother suggested they try the Laquintinie mortuary. As they arrived at the mortuary, the mortuary attendants vehemently refused to let them in. The family members alerted some forces of law and order who then contacted the Ndokoti State Council to give instructions that they be let in.

After a critical examination of some corpses in the Laquintinie mortuary, the younger brother identified his sister's body laying in one of the cool drawers still in good shape. As to when and how the corpse entered the mortuary is still a mystery. The two mortuary attendants on duty the day the corpse was brought had no record on the person's identity that deposited the body. They are currently incarcerated at the Ndogbong gendarmerie for questioning.
