Ms. Kontchou donates to prisoners of Kondengui

Through her NGO called Foundation Puène Françoise, the wife of the famous ex Minister Augustin Nkontchou on December 31, gave an important donation to inmates of the Yaoundé Central prison.

Yaoundé penitentiary was in a party mood this December 31, 2014, in the morning. Prisoners received an important donation of foodstuff, cleaning equipment, and several copies of the criminal procedure code for their education, particularly as regards the various stages of criminal proceedings.

This donation is the work of Ms. Kontchou, aka "Madame Franco" or 'Mami Nyanga', through the NGO that she created and which bears her maiden name: la Fondation Puène Françoise. Her main mission: assist multifaceted, including legal and judicial persons detained and deprived.

During the ceremony presided over by prison authorities, about 50 detainees were released. "Today 50 prisoners were released who normally should have had freedom some 6 months back", said Ms. Kontchou, justifying the need to educate more inmates.

The founder of the Foundation Puène Françoise has also appealed to the souls of good will to accompany her in this humanitarian action which aims for the improvement of the living conditions in prisons.
