Muslim Faithful in Yaounde have been called upon to be ambassadors of peace and unity.
The call was made today Wednesday 6th July 2016 at the Yaounde Central Mosque, where over 2000 Muslim faithful together with their kids gathered to resite the last Ramadan prayers.
The last prayer session was presided by the Imam Dr. Ahmed Jilani from Saudi Arabia in the presence of state dignitaries including the Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Cameroon.
The presiding Imam congratulated Muslim Faithful for succeeding to accomplishing the 30 days fast, saying that their efforts are going to be richly rewarded.
He further called upon them to be united more than ever before against terrorism. According to him, Islam is not a complicated Religion, but rather a religion of tolerance, mercy, meekness, peace and tranquility.
Young Muslim faithful were also urged to shun the attitude of disobedience, rather to respect and honour their parents and the unity of Alah.
The prayer warriors finally departed to begin celebration after the last benediction of serenity, comfort and peace on the entire community was released by Imam Ahmed Jilani, followed by the inauguration of the conference hall of the Central Mosque presided by the Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary.
