NCC calls on media to aid in Boko Haram fight

Officially, Cameroon is at war against the Islamist sect Boko Haram, which is no longer affecting only in neighboring Nigeria. In Cameroon, the national communication Council (NCC) has cautioned the media against the motions of support and other calls for strong overtones of positioning and recovery policy.

In a press release, the regulatory body called the promoters and media professionals to "tackle to accomplish in any responsibility their mission of information, training and social reliance, in appreciating each time the need to serve to echo or to support the actions of nature and not to undermine social peace".

The text is signed by Peter Essoka, the vice-chairman of the NCC the incumbent of the post since the death of Bishop Joseph Befe Ateba. The output of the CNC comes as debate rages in the country about the call by the elite of the Lekie, a department of Cameroon.

The text signed by several ministers, deputies, senators, elected municipal and other politicians of this part of the country, denounced conspiracy with Boko Haram in the north of Cameroon. The text has been published by the media, public and some private media.
