Nabbed for Stealing Milk

Police in the port city of Douala have arrested a man with 14 cartons of Nido milk. Forty-eight-year-old Louis Marie Weladji was taken into custody in the early hours of Monday at the Nyalla Pariso neighbourhood.

The story goes that at about 3am, the elements of the Rapid Intervention Unit on guard at the CPDM Party House in Bonanjo suspected the movements of a taxi just nearby. The police tried in vain to stop the taxi that was well loaded as the fidgeting driver could not obey their instructions. The later instead took off at a high speed.

Luckily, the vehicle of G4S security was just behind them. Suspecting that the items must have been stolen from a store house around the area, the policemen decided to sprint after the bandits in the taxi. They finally succeeded to interrupt the taxi at far away Nyalla Pariso. In the taxi with registration number LT 274 BF, they discovered 14 cartons of Nido milk. As the driver had no receipts to present, Weladji and his taxi as well as the loot were taken back to the Central Police Station no. 1 in Bonanjo where investigations have been opened.
