New military officers commissioned in Ngaoundéré

The Minister of Defence, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o, was at the helm of affairs for the installation of newly appointed heads of units of the defence forces in Ngaoundéré, Adamawa in the northern part of the country on March 25.

In the "water tower of Cameroon" province, two senior officers of the Cameroonian army took command of the third joint military region.

First of all, colonel Bouba Bakary, appointed as first Commander of the 302 airbase will have as his mission to implement measures put in place for the management of the 302 base, with regard to securing and dealing with the defence of the airspace, flight safety and fostering fire safety at the aircraft base.

Military sources, 302 air base which is a basic multi-role is very important because of its geostrategic position, which enables it to manage the junction between the North and the South of the country.

The appointment of a commander at this air base is part of the reorganization of the defence by the head of State, in order to make them even more effective in their missions.

On the other hand, colonel Aweh Francis Anocha was commissioned to take charge of the head of the military joint n° 5. Beyond his traditional support among other missions. It was recommended to colonel Aweh Francis Anocha to flow into the spirit of the reforms, with the joint character of the military sector.

Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o advised both commanders to live up to the trust placed in them, in a context marked by the struggle of Cameroon to preserve the integrity of its territory, in the fight against the Islamist sect Boko Haram, incursions by rebel groups from the CAR, various forms of poaching activities etc.
