Hadiza Mustapha held farewell talks with the President of the Senate and the Prime Minister before being honoured in a State dinner recently.
The outgoing Nigerian High Commissioner to Cameroon, Hadiza Mustapha, has hailed the excellent relations that exist between her country and Cameroon. She made the remark during separate audiences with the President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji and the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang as she bid farewell to Cameroon.
She said her main objectives were to strengthen the existing political ties between both countries, expand economic cooperation and security relations between the neighbouring countries. Objectives which she rejoiced were achieved with the signing of some 16 agreements and the rejuvenation of the Cameroon-Nigeria Joint Commission. A committee with focus on border security issues has also been created, she noted.
Meanwhile, before her departure, she was decorated with the medal of grand officer of National Order of Valour during a State dinner recently offered on behalf of the Head of State.
