The Prime Minister, Philemon Yang who doubles as the North West Regional campaign manager of the CPDM on September 18, 2013, travelled to Mbiame and Nkum council areas to launch campaigns for the parliamentary and municipal polls.
Addressing CPDM militants at the Mbiame and Tatum grand stands, Philemon Yang called on supporters to vote for the CPDM which is a party of peace and development. He told the people of Mbiame who have been staunch supporters of the CPDM party since the early 1990s that the government is aware of their road problems and not long from now will take care of them.
He said the CPDM party which is a governing party has institutions like the National Assembly, the Senate, the Presidency and the Prime Minister's Office which other political parties do not have. The CPDM he added, also has a budget that it controls and can open universities, schools and construct roads which the other parties do not have. Yaah Dr. Fondufe Lydia and William Sewong Banboye, the two CPDM substantive candidates for the parliament seats in Bui Centre constituency presented their development programmes.
Before moving to Mbiame and Nkum, Prime Minister Yang was in Jakiri, Bui South constituency on September 17 where he encouraged CPDM supporters to sink their differences and work as a team to win the upcoming twin elections in Cameroon.
