The CPDM Centre Regional Campaign team led by Gilbert Tsimi Evouna was in Endom on September 25, 2013.
In order to encourage deserving school leavers in Nyong and Mfoumou in the Centre Region, the CPDM campaign leader for the division, Prof. Robert Nkili on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 offered almost 10.5 million to 209 students who passed the 2013 Baccalaureate Generale and Technique certificate examinations (the equivalent of the GCE Advanced Level in general and technical education.)
Each of the students received the FCFA 50,000 cash gift from senior arty officials, including, Gilbert Tsimi Evouna, the CPDM Centre Regional Campaign Leader for the September 30, 2013 parliamentary and local council elections. Speaking at the event, Gilbert Tsimi Evouna reminded supporters of the party's directives on the commitment of everyone to ensure success in next week's elections.
He cautioned councillorship candidates to stop speculating on who will be the next mayor in their areas. He added that being number one on the list did not necessarily mean such people will become the next mayor. The Centre Regional Campaign Leader urged the public to vote CPDM candidates, explaining that President Paul Biya can be trusted, given his track record at the national level.
Earlier, a local party elite, retired Col. Titus Ebogo, lauded President Biya for succeeding in maintaining peace and stability in the country in the difficult years of early 1990s. On the other hand, Endom party elite pointed out that the CPDM was not in campaign in the division, but rather feasting its imminent victory at next Monday's elections. Nyong and Mfoumou's two parliamentary candidates, Roger Nkodo Dang and Christine Mfoula, and councillorship hopefuls in Endom, Akonolinga, Ayos, Mengang and Kobdombo council areas are all standing unopposed.
Meanwhile, the divisional campaign team led by Prof. Robert Nkili will today, Friday, September 27, 2013, hold its closing rally in Akonolinga at 1 pm.
