The presiding officer of the Economic Cultural and Social Council of the African Union (ECOSOCC)- Joseph Chilengi was received at the Star building by the Prime Minister and Head of Government Philemon Yang.
During this visit, Mr Chilengi unveiled AU’s decisions pertaining to the Boko-haram threats posed on Cameroon and her neighbours.
Dr. Joseph Chilengi however urged Cameroonians to fully mobilize and support government’s efforts to crush the terrorist.
In order for this to work-out, he proposed an extended social partnership and dialogue between the government and the civil society.
To him, programs that will help promote peace and security should be encouraged.
