Paul Biya condemns Garissa attack

The leader of the Cameroonian State, Paul Biya, has condemned "without reservation" the terrorist attack last week in the University of Garissa (Kenya) that claimed the lives of 148 students.

In a letter of condolence to his counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta, he noted his "real emotion" sequel to this drama that he described as a "heinous Act committed against innocent and defenseless populations".

In this tragic circumstance, Paul Biya addressed his sincere condolences to his correspondent, the relatives of the victims and the bereaved people of Kenya.

Cameroon, he recalled, is currently facing a terrorist wave in the border region of the far north by the Nigerian Islamist sect Boko Haram.
