President of the French National Assembly visits Cameroon

Claude Bartolone will be in Yaoundé on 26 and 27 October 2014, as part of an African tour that will have previously led to Ivory Coast and Chad.

According to the agenda of the president of the lower House of the French Parliament posted on the website of the institution, Claude Bartolone will hold talks with President Biya Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11.00.

This program posted online did not indicate the agenda of the meeting. But with regard to the theme of another meeting with the Cameroonian parliamentarians on security challenges, one can imagine that the issue is included among the subjects of the exchange between the two men.

In addition, Cameroon is involved on two security fronts; Boko Haram in Nigeria and the rebels in CAR, which are of great concern to t France. Furthermore, the President of the French National Assembly and the president of the Republic of Cameroon will revisit major economic issues between Paris and Yaounde.
