Presidential couple to attend 15th Francophonie Summit

The international organization of la Francophonie (Oif), which will be held in Dakar from 29th to 30th November 2014, has shown the close relationship Cameroon has with la Francophonie, Senegal. This is depicted in their newsletter of 15 pages on glossy paper, packaged to meet the exact number of this year's edition.

One of the headlines, paints a picture of the unity that exists between the head of State and his compatriots from Senegal. In the words of the Ambassador of Cameroon to Dakar, H.E. Jean Koe Ntonga he said, "President of the Republic of Cameroon and Madam Chantal Biya are welcome to Senegal. Welcome to the 15th Summit of la Francophonie", a clear indication of this impending visit.

The journal opens with the submission of Cameroon and Senegal as two countries deemed brothers and friends, through their geographical map and colors which are almost the same. The bulletin provides more space for images. The pictures of: Paul Biya - Macky Sall and Paul Biya - Abdou Diouf, illustrated the unity between Cameroon and Senegal; and the Oif. The loyalty, dedication and commitment of Cameroon for the Oif is legendary and this is expressed in the effective participation of its Chairman in various summits, of which the latest was the 14th held in 2012 in Kinshasa, the capital of the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo).

The 15th Summit however will be held in Dakar, capital of Senegal, from 29th to 30th November 2014, under the theme "women and youth in La Francophonie: vectors of peace, development actors". The Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Cameroon to Dakar (with powers extended to Mali, Mauritania and Guinea) noted that "Cameroonian communities of Senegal and neighbouring countries, the staff of the Embassy and myself are delighted to wish you a warm welcome to Senegal, the country of the Teranga". "We extend our most fervent wishes of a pleasant and successful stay and Honourable participation in the 15th session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Member countries of the international organization of la Francophonie."
